Brisbane’s Rachael Newton has won the Caravan Trade and Industries Association of Queensland’s Young Achiever award, the first ever female winner of this award.
The industry awards have celebrated excellence among young Queenslanders in the caravan industry, recognising their passion and dedication.
Since 2012, Rachael has been working with All Brand Caravan Services, Sandgate, and was nominated for her drive, achievements and invaluable contribution to the caravanning and camping industry.
Newton was presented with her trophy at the Queensland Caravan Industry Leaders’ Dinner earlier this month, with her award originally announced at the Caravan Industry Association’s National Conference earlier this year.
With certification in Heavy Vehicle Registration Assessment Scheme and taking a second job to improve her knowledge of parts and services, it is no wonder that she was awarded Queensland’s Young Achiever title. Newton has continued to seek new heights in her career to ensure travellers enjoy the best caravan experience possible.
“When my customers come in, I want to hear their stories, where they’ve been, what they’ve seen, who they’ve met. And from that, I can tailor a product that best suits their needs.”
Newton believes caravans facilitate independence, and loves talking to customers about their needs to help them find the perfect solution.
Rachael is keen to keep working hard and buy herself an old caravan to fix-up and one day explore Australia.
