Bailey Caravans’ new single-axle Aussie-built van is ultra-lightweight, with the Tare of the Coastal starting at just 1600kg. What does this mean? Well, it just might be possible to tow it with your family sedan.
Other features in this range of 17ft 4in caravans include a high ground clearance, DuraGal chassis, one-piece floor, walls and roof (with a 10-year guarantee against water ingress), and fibreglass, impact-resistant body panels and shielding underneath.
Standard onboard water capacity is 210L, while the range also gets a 164L three-way fridge, microwave, three-burner gas cooktop, reverse-cycle air-con, and more.
“We wanted to offer a more compact caravan range with all the construction, quality and warranty benefits of our larger tandem-axle Australian models, yet with weights similar to a European caravan and with significantly greater water (capacity)” Bailey Australia managing director Adrian van Geelen said.
